Family Update 2021

Our past year has been better than we deserve.

We bought the world’s tiniest camper off Craigslist and have taken it out 6 times so far, including boondocking (very) off-grid. It only is meant to hold 2 people, but we make it work with an aftermarket roof top tent on top.
We also made trips to Texas, New Mexico and West Virginia, and did an epic 20 mile backpacking trip.

The kids all did jiu jitsu and swim team at various times. Fear not. There is no Covid at jiu jitsu or swim team in Virginia. Whew!
Clay finally hit the milestone in his career where he has to fly a “desk” and has to commute to Norfolk. He is making the most of it and still gets to fly with his old squadron a couple times a month.

Of special note, Trip made a profession of faith in Christ, was baptized, and became a member of our church. We decided to have Josephine and Frank baptized, too. An interesting summer of theology learning and praying about credo and paedo baptism.
